The light was Mah-vel-ous

This session was done in my clients’ home in Noe Valley in San Francisco. The most delicious natural light graced the living room and dining room. I was very happy to leave my studio lighting and lightstands in the trunk of my car and just enjoy capturing this new little boy with all the available light I had. I think I love newborn sessions almost more than anything. They take quite a while to complete. There are lots and lots of breaks for mom and baby and while mom is nursing or catching herself a snack I have the opportunity to learn about my clients and who they are. There was some wonderful conversation–such hospitality–and what great sports they were while Junior peed on Mom and pooped on Dad. That comes with the territory of shooting a newborn session. Just means that he’s being well nourished and thriving.

It was very important we captured Junior with the cricket ball. We tried many variations. Here is one of them.

San Rafael Newborn photographer-Pam Biasotti

I made a trip out to San Rafael to photograph baby L and his parents. L was yet another baby who doesn’t like to miss a beat when I am there photographing him. Sure enough as I was leaving he was ready for his slumber. I also met his big brother Zeus, who you can tell was the baby of the house before baby L came along.

Baby L

She’s 9 days old. She’s wide awake. Sometimes eye contact with a newborn is the BEST! I have been photographing her family since her two year old sister was in her mom’s belly. I can’t wait to see how they change and grow up together.

Newborns Newborns Newborns

Something magical about the late winter and early spring. Lots of newborn babies are happening. This Palo Alto family recently became parents and brother to a new baby boy. I think mom looks fabulous and radiant. Big brother was a hoot. I have to share a cute one of big brother–he’s quite the ham! That’s my kind of kid!

Remember my sneak peek of baby A?

Well here are a few more of the little fellow and his family. He joined his parents, sister and brother in February. He’s definitely a cutie and very alert. We did catch a few sleepy moments as you can see in these photos.

Fresh new baby boy

Baby A came early. He’s one week old and alert! Mom assured me all he does is sleep all day. Guess I was enough excitement to wake him up. Does he look like an old soul or what? img_blog7476.jpg

Lots of newborns these past few months

Such a fun time for me when a parent of a newborn contacts me for a session. I love to capture them under the age of 12 days if possible. They still have that fresh new look, lots of wrinkles and fold so easily.img_blogbw3212-copy.jpgimg_blogbw1606.jpgimg_blogbw5045-copy.jpgimg_blog4062.jpg
