Yesterday was the seven month anniversary that Riley passed away. Yesterday was also Karma’s five month birthday. They share the same number 7 for death and birth. Sometimes when I am thinking about Riley and looking into Karma’s young eyes I get the feeling she knows what I am thinking. She stops her puppylike behavior for a fleeting moment and looks at me like a wise old soul.
I found this portrait I took of Riley several years ago when I was playing with studio lighting in my living room. Riley was forever my patient subject as my sons will run the other way when they see a camera in my hand. This is probably still one of my favorite captures of him. He isn’t gray yet and still looks young, vibrant and beautiful. See the area rug in the backround? That’s the INFAMOUS rug he ruined the day he passed away. I was completely at peace with him ruining it. You can read about my feelings of that rug here.

On a happier note–I have done some rebranding of my pet photography and have a new website devoted completely to pets! Please go check out You Had Me At Woof pet photography by Pam Biasotti! I am still a children and family portrait photographer but have added a separate site for the animals. What I love most about my new branding is the AWESOME designer J. Nichole Smith who designed my new logo and branding! Nichole wears many hats. Not only is she a talented photographer (including pet and commercial photographer) she’s a designer, an entrepeneur, you name it. She’s full of creativity and understands everything I was trying to accomplish with my business from marketing to customer service. I met Nichole at Jamie Plughoeft’s Cowbelly workshop where Nichole was one of the guest speakers. Nichole was probably the first designer I had come across that I believe truly “got me”. I was able to convey my thoughts and ideas and she took it and ran with it. Her follow through and determination to deliver was fantastic. She’s the real deal. Look at my fabulous logo.

You can read Nichole’s thoughts of how she came up with my branding here.
Thank you Nichole. I love my new look. Coming soon will be a separate You Had Me At Woof Blog. Stay tuned!
