What are you doing Wednesday May 6 in the evening? The Pleasanton Downtown Association kicks off their First Wednesday for the next 5 months tomorrow. I will be there along with other members of the PDA. Feel free to stop by and say hi. I will be raffling off a free session, plus offering specials for those that book a future session with me that evening. I will be at booth 54, next to Murphy’s Paw Pet Boutique. My puppy Karma won’t be with me tomorrow night, but I hope to bring her this summer as she gets older to hang out.
I found this old photograph I did for Riley and Karma’s dog breeder, Laura. This was a session of Rikki, who was Riley’s mother. Rikki was diagnosed with a hemangiosarcoma–tumor on the heart–which is the same thing Riley had. Shortly after her diagnosis, we did a session as time is precious with this aggressive form of cancer. Rikki was the one on the far right. To Rikki’s right is Derby, who was Karma’s grandmother. I am trying to figure out who the other two in the middle are. I have an idea, but I am waiting to hear back from Laura to solve the mystery. EDITED**The other two are who I suspected. Starr and Spice…Derby’s daughters. Karma’s aunts. These dogs have the Derby connection which is my Karma’s connection. Rikki is my Riley connection. Who knew when I was photographing these ladies a few years ago that I would be having two dogs related to this group.

Oh gosh, that’s a whole lotta golden love in one shot Pammy! This is a great shot, I’m sure Laura is glad to have it. I can see a lot of Riley in Rikki. The one in the front center looks like my Sandy girl, complete with the golden smile.

I love Murphy’s Paw Pet Boutique. I just wish my dog was calm enough to have her portrait taken. She is very photogenic but being a Jack Russell she is just crazy wild.
First Wednesday is a great time to come out and enjoy our beautiful downtown Pleasanton. Many of the exhibitors are local, so you get to enjoy a night out and support your local community.
Next event is June 3rd. See you there!
