Pleasanton Downtown Association-pam biasotti event photography

The Pleasanton Downtown Association had its annual dinner the other night and I was asked to photograph the event.  What can be more fun than adding a photo booth to the cocktail hour?  I wanted to add some not so typical shots to cover the evening’s activities and I thank all the folks that particpated in the fun!  This photo booth is inspired by Nate and Jaclyn Kaiser’s Crazybooth, from the Image is Found.

You might just recognize some of these people…did you know they had a great sense of humor?

Photographers and their giant lenses.  What’s up with that?

Darn right you should be kissing your wife, sir!  Lovely couple.

Some were hesitant to be silly.  This man finally came around and let loose.

This next couple was adorable!!! The told me they are newlyweds!  Happy New Wedded Bliss!

Raffle tickets anyone?  There were lots of great prizes that night.

Don’t miss the Golden Gate Kennel Club Show at the Cow Palace this weekend!

It’s that time of year again.  It’s probably one of the most popular dog shows on the West Coast and every year the Golden Gate Kennel Club puts on its annual 2 day dog show.  Dogs are competing in conformation, obedience and there is an agility demonstration by TopNotch training.  I used to train Riley at TopNotch for both obedience and agility–they are worth watching!  Take the time this weekend to check out the show–it’s an excellent way to view your favorite breed, learn more about them and meet the breeders and handlers of these magnificent canines.  Maybe someday I will be brave enough to enter my next Golden in the obedience ring there.

Speaking of Goldens, there are some new puppies.  I am hoping to capture a weekly update of these babies as they mature and become little dogs.  Nothing spectacular about the photography here–just wanted to show you how precious and tiny they are.

Funny story about this litter.  First off, they have a sprinkle of my beloved Riley in them.  The father of these pups and Riley go back to a famous Golden,  CH Shyan’s Wild Country Dakotah. Dakotah was Riley’s grandfather. Dakotah was Jester’s (the father of these pups) great grandfather. Somehow that must make them distant cousins? These pups were conceived right around the time Riley was sick and passed. Talk about fate!  I look forward to watching these little babies grow.  Nothing like the smell of puppy breath.

I also have a few more images of Finn.

Finn is a great jumper as you already know.  He will do this over and over and over.

Here’s Suzanne, Finn’s mom playing fetch with him and you can see the delight in both their faces.

Finn LOVES his ball.  He is enthralled, captivated and estatic to catch his ball.

And here’s the standing ovation.

Can you believe such a ham can be so regal at the same time?

Irish Setters-Walnut Creek dog photographer Pam Biasotti

Claire and Jude are very loving Irish Setters from Walnut Creek.  Both had personality and I am still wiping off the dog slobber from being kissed to death by them!

I can only imagine what is going on in their minds….Hopefully their mommy Carole can explain it better to me!

Three Dog Bakery Pleasanton

Sanchez is the mascot of this business located at 335 Saint Mary St. in downtown Pleasanton. It’s the location where Noland’s Cake Shop used to be.    I bought a new shirt there that I have already gotten food stains on so I can’t show you until I wash it.  They have dog treats and unique gifts.  What I loved most about the place was how Sanchez just walked up calmly and greeted me.  He was a doll–lots of kisses and apparently he likes to stand at the counter to be pet.  Check it out!
