More from the family gathering over the holidays

The grandparents had Christmas with three children, their spouses and children. Twelve people all looking at me at the same time, right? With four kids under the age of three….

Can I just say my legs were well exercised that evening from the stretching and moving I did following the families around the property. Some more to sneak peak as I promised M’s mom.

San Ramon Valley Maternity

When someone says San Ramon Valley, you would think of the 680 corridor full of congested traffic getting to and from Bishop Ranch office park. Or maybe you would envision the back hills of Danville where this session took place. A short drive into the hills and we were completely transformed into quiet, peaceful country. Cows. Chickens. Exotic birds that I can’t recall the name of–my client M here will tell me again when I ask her.  She has a lovely property to explore.  Just a sneak peak of some outdoor maternity with the cows watching us.

All the way from Seattle Washington

came this sweet little girl and her parents to visit her grandparents for the holidays. She’s a future ANTM (America’s Next Top Model). She was having a silly moment with her grandpa but still managed to ham it up for me at the same time. More to come of her cousins and their parents.

Could he be a Tom Cruise look-alike?

Maybe, maybe not. Though this boy could probably jump on a couch like Tom and give him a run for his money. I don’t think he was jumping over Katie Holmes–more like Thomas the Tank Engine.  I recall something about a garbage truck too. I am a sucker for brunettes with blue eyes. To me they make a beautiful combination. This is Will and he was energetic to say the least. He followed directions and liked to be on the go as well. We had a little family shoot with his grandparents, uncle, fiancee and Will’s parents. It was a special time gathering the whole family together from Ohio and New York. Also it was a sentimental time for the family as Will’s grandparents were moving to a new home.

I am here and catching up to all of you patient folks!

You know who you are….thank you for your support and patience.  The other night I was in the ER with my older son getting a stitch or two so I have been neglecting my blog.  There is a cute 3 year old boy from Ohio that I promised his mom I would post a sneak peak–as well as their big family.  There is also another big family waiting to see their unusually fun session.    Be on the lookout all of you…check back tonight….

Thank you also to Trista and George for knowing it’s a busy time and that I am thinking of you daily.   Give Shawn a hug.

Meeting Shawn Stockwell in Palo Alto

Adorable 9 year old Shawn. Shawn was born with a rare and complicated heart defect - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has survived many, many surgeries, unbelievable complications, and yet he has an iron will and a determination like no other. Shawn is now at a point that his heart is failing and needs a new heart. He currently lives at the Ronald McDonald House near the Stanford Medical Center with his mom, Trista, sisters Amanda and Haley. His father, George lives and works in Alaska (where they are from) and was able to make it down here for the holidays to spend some quality family time. I really enjoyed spending a little time with them today.img_blog6307.jpgimg_blogbw6389.jpgimg_blog6419.jpg

Happy New Year!

Time to bring in 2008.  What better way than to take a soak and enjoy the chilly California afternoon.  We are truly spoiled living here but it was 48 degrees during the day at one point.  Here’s to a new beginning, a new year and hopefully a little warmer winter weather. _n1y0598-copy.jpg  _n1y0629-copy.jpg
