Easygoing Family Fun

I have known this family since I moved to the Bay Area in 1989. Through mutal friends, softball and being UC Santa Barbara alumni we have really enjoyed our times together. We were pregnant together. I have had the pleasure of watching the twins grow from preemie 1 and 2 pound babies to delightful pre-teenagers. Recently we had the pleasure of watching our college buddy get married for the first time. I won’t get too far into details, but Mr. T in the photo below was kind enough to introduce me to McClellan’s Scotch. We were all in such a celebratory mood that evening–I haven’t touched it since. They decided they wanted some photographs of their family and hired me to capture them. I wasn’t sure what I had in mind–I wanted something that captured the late fall colors as well as something that said Northern California. First we hit Ruby Hills’ Country Club but it was evident that we needed something more rustic. So, they followed me in their car around Pleasanton and Livermore until I took a turn down a road with endless vineyards. I found the spot and we began shooting. That’s where it happened. This is one of my favorites from the session.

Lots of newborns these past few months

Such a fun time for me when a parent of a newborn contacts me for a session. I love to capture them under the age of 12 days if possible. They still have that fresh new look, lots of wrinkles and fold so easily.img_blogbw3212-copy.jpgimg_blogbw1606.jpgimg_blogbw5045-copy.jpgimg_blog4062.jpg

Speaking of Half Moon Bay

Actually this was taken about 8 miles up the coast at a favorite beach of mine. This client has been a returning client for the past three years. She’s very kind and a wonderful mom to her son.
